Dose any one here bite there nails like all day bite them way to much tell they hurt or all all gone?

Dose any one here feel they bite there nails way to much or just don't stop or cant. My friend bits her nails tell they bleed and there are no nails left but dose not stop who else is like this ? also a silly question but dose any one pick or bite there toe nails so they look like that are no nails left is this normal?

I bite my nails but not to the point of bleeding !....I have false nails put on now and i even nibble those.Horrible habit.

This is not normal.

Biting nails to the point of bleeding is a serious habit. I used to bite my nails, but only nibble the ends, then I found a solution:
I put nail groeth nail varnish on them. It motivates me, and I think "Oooh I'm gunna have nice nails after this, so don't bite!" It really worked, now I have lush, long, beautiful nails.

I think your friend should go to a Nail Spa, to get them checked,
I reccommend Fancy Fingers and see what they can do. They may be able to put false nails on, to stop her from biting her proper nails, so they will grow underneath the falseys. If your friend lets her nails grow slightly, she will be able to get nail extensions, also preventing her from biting her nails.

Theres usually a Nail Spa somewhere in the center of your town/city, so keep a look out for one, and reccommend it to her.

Her habit must stop, it could be serious, lead to infection, if she carries on.

Help her to stop ASAP =)

Hi my fiance does and its irritating and idsgusting all the germs that are in the finger nails. I lose my temper because when we are watching the telly all i hear it click click click click. Its annoying then they winge when they need nails to open stuff i let them struggle. Its worse than picking your nose yuk yuk yuk.
He even got a nail infection once because your nail are suppose to b there to protect the nail bed from infection and when they are gone you get infections. His finger went massive and all green puss came out. and no he doesnt bite his toe nails but i bet he would if he could be bothered lifting his leg up to reach.

Eeew I only ever bite a nail if I catch it on something and it rips, I have quite weak nails and if I bite them it really hurts, I hate the way it feels! tell her to stop being a minger and get some acrylic nails, that will stop her biting them!

That is ridiculous! Bad habit your friend has got. I don't bite my nails and toenails, you'd have to bend like Beckham. What about advising her to try using colour polish on them and everytime she bites the slick of the polish will make her retract her mouth and the paint will chip each time. Unless she likes that too, then only way out is to have mittens on all day.

try giving her some sally hansen nail polish for bitten nails it has a taste to it so when your friend put the finger in her mouth her saliva will react with a horrible taste and therefore stops the biting if not please get her some help she may have, OCD. x

did you know your pinky finger nail has more germs than a toilet seat?? i have never actually bitten my own nails, but my best mate used to in high school, like your friend, and she actually found this stuff that you paint on your nails like nail polish. it tastes absolutely disgusting, it only took a week and she has never bitten her nails ever again... pretty sure you can get it from a pharmacy.

im i bite me nails but not like the way your friiends bites them i but my nails most og the time but not all day usually wen im bored or very nrevous or scared ive never tried to bite my toe nails that is gross like your feet would be sweatin nd tuff nd den go on to bite them thats gross
