Not necessarily, it could be anything. It could be a fluke, stress, weight loss, hanging around other women can also change your cycle, or it could be a side affect of the birth control. If you are worried there is a new pregnancy test out that can tell you if you are pregnant within days of having the missed period.

There are many things that can affect periods-stress, changes in diet/exercise, illness, and more. If you've taken the pills properly-one each day, at the same time, and not missing any, or taking medication that may interfere with the pill, like certain antibiotics or St. John's Wort, then it's unlikely that you're pregnant. Because of the way most birth control pills work (they work by preventing the release of an egg and by making the lining of the uterus thinner and making the mucous around the cervix thicker so that it's harder for sperm to get through) it's not uncommon for people to sometimes miss a period on birth control for no reason. If you've missed a pill, or taken medication that might affect your pill, or are concerned, a pregnancy test may help calm you, but check the instructions that come with your pills to see what to do if you miss a period, or check with your doctor or health care provider.

Yes, it's possible that a missed period while on the pill could mean one is pregnant but sometimes if one is just starting a new brand of birth control pills after changing brands of birth control pills a period can be delayed for a bit.
To be on the safe side talk to your gyn or primary care physician (if they are the one that is prescribing the pill) to see what they say. My question to you would be is: how long have you been on the pill?

If the period is overdue by 10 days, go for urine pregnancy test. Do not go for any guess work or silly suggestions.

Just take a pregnancy test. You can get them at your local dollar store for cheap, and it's well worth the peace of mind.

Not necessarily. If you took all your pills when you're supposed to, it's very unlikely. Get a pregnancy test if you're worried.
