Generally about 18 - 20 years old. It is likely the original purpose of these teeth was to replace one lost up to this point in life, but with current dental hygiene, we don't need replacement teeth, so they are usually pulled out.
Generally, it is a significant dental procedure and often they take two at a time. Expect to be uncomfortable for a day or so.

Most people have to have them removed around their senior year in highschool. So they begin to rupture through the gums, probably aroung 16. But teeth stay, well, dorment, under the flesh for quite a while before they break the skin.

Usually around 18-22 I think, and it hurts for some people and other lucky people don't even know they've come in.
