CDMA stands for Code division multiple access.It is a digital cellular technology that uses the spread spectrum technique.in this form data is tranferred over a number of discrete frequencies available to the user.In view of its wide bandwidth,one can connect to many subscribers but ther is no scope for expansion as it dosent facilitate data and resource sharing as compared to GSM .

Both r different but the GSM technology is growing fast due to R&D and features are added to it day after day.
