if your hair is really dry and unmanageable you could start with a hot oil treatment. you'll find it in the drug store . just follow directions.

that being done, select a decent shampoo and conditioner. but if you use the same one forever, it won't stay effective. switch brands from time to time to get the full positive effect.

don't forget to do your hundred stokes a day with your hair brush. this function distributes your natural scalp oil through the entire hair.

i hope this meets your need. good luck.

Your hair type is typically hereditary and there's not a whole lot you can do about it. All you can do is make sure your hair is as healthy as can be and deal with what your parents gave you.

Depending on what type of hair you have (you didn't mention this) - curly, frizzy, straight, dry, oily, dull, limp, etc - will determine what you need to do to make & keep your hair healthy so it looks its best.

Figure out what type of hair you have and what problems you are experiencing and start your search from there. No one can give you an answer because we don't know what hair type you have and what your problems are. A person with oily hair would do the complete opposite than someone with dry hair, same goes for curly, wavy hair versus straight hair; ... you get my point.

But you can't change or make your hair something it isn't. You can maybe put chemicals on it and/or use beauty tools (flat irons, curling irons, etc) to hopefully imitate that look, but unless it's in your genes...it's just not going to happen. If it is in your genes and your hair is just unhealthy....ask your beautician or search online for whatever hair problem/s you have and you'll find thousands of websites with advice on how to correct the problems and make your hair healthier.

Healthy hair is beautiful hair...regardless of it's texture, length & style. Unhealthy hair is horrible..even if it is down to a person's butt, up to their ears, whatever.

Asians have straight, sleek, shiney hair for the most part...just like most African Americans have wirey, coarse hair. It's hereditary.

Good products definately helps. Try Loreal's Kerastase. They have lots of choices for different types of hair. A bit pricey though. Also make sure to use a matching conditioner at least every 2 or 3 days and to also do deep conditioning at least once a week. Remember that conditioning & deep conditioning is different! It's a quick fix.
P/S: I read somewhere that we should use at least 4 types of shampoo and not just one, because you want to target different problems. Like if u have colored hair, u should buy the shampoo for colored hair, and then also have a shampoo for moisturizing hair, as using a shampoo for colored hair can be drying. Hope this helps.

Use a good shampoo and conditioner (Purology is great) and a Gloss. Your hair will look amazing! Brush it alot too, That helps stimulate growth and keeps it shiny

its genetic...their hair is sleek and shiny naturally.

Other wise eat healthy oils and proteins and veggies, soak it in a olive oil to repair damage and use a straightning iron with a heat protecting spray.

Old Chinese secret,
You must shave head bald.. wash on regular basis, and then stand in sunshine for 55 minutes or until head feels like it is burning.. then wash bald head again.. continue the process for one month or until hair on bald head starts to grow back in..after hair is shoulder length iron with warm iron with your head resting on damp towel.. this make your hair very shinny & healthy.

HOPPY NEW YEAR!
