I never had an interest in WoW. My fiance started playing on Sunday and he's hooked on it. He installed it on my computer and created a character for me. I don't really understand any of this RPG stuff. Is there an ending to the game? What is the highest level you can reach? He made me a Female, Human-Warrior. I logged in for two minutes, but I got paranoid that the other people on there might be watching me and how much I suck at this. Can anyone summarize the point of WoW in a short paragraph. Maybe I should just stick to my first-person shooters on XBox. ^_^

I have been playing WoW since beta. Im hooked...and have been for the past 2 yrs. Its one of the best mmorpg's out there.

I think you should create your own character tho. It has a description for each race, your class abilities, etc. My main character is a Horde Undead Warlock. I like the pet classes ... maybe cuz Im a girl. lol.

There is no ending to this game as far as the eye can see.... Especially with the new Burning Crusade expansion. Now there are 70 levels to reach. Yay.

The point of the game more than anything is have fun. You will start out with making your character...then you will find quests with the npc's with the yellow exclamation over their heads. Just follow instructions via the mini map in the upper right hand corner or just hitting the M key. Super easy stuff, right?

As you gain levels you will need to start grouping for larger quests in the instances and dungeons. Thats when it gets interesting...and by then you should have the hang of it.

Just play around a few levels with a variety of characters...Make sure you and your boyfriend are both either Horde or Alliance tho. Dont wanna be on the opposing team, lol.

My husband and I met thru this game and still love playing together. Call it crazy but we have been together for over 2 yrs. now and are still madly in love.

By the way...a warrior is a hard class to play, in my opinion. Try making a Gnome Mage, Human Warlock, or even a Dwarf Hunter....dont forget about the amazing Night Elf Druids....Maybe you just arent great at the Melee classes....try something with a lil more magic. Warlocks rule!

Anyway...I could talk all night about this game. Give it a try. And try different things. You may find yourself to be an awesome Priest or Paladin....who knows?

Good Luck to you both!

Just play in moderation. Dont get hooked and play for days straight at once....lol. Seriously.....

OK basically there is no ending... (once u get hooked up ..that's it you are addicted) ... highest level is 70 now with the expansion ... without it the max level is 60 .
OK, first of all the point of the game is to take that character thru adventures and quest and gain experience or xp as how we call it in-game. Second , don't feel bad or paranoid bcuz u think people are watching you.. sure they watching you but who cares... is just a game... and remember those people used to suck at one point .. and look at them now outstanding armor and weapons and a high reputation. Hope this helps. I quit WoW a while ago and sold my account on eBay lol but i have to admit I had a lot of fun and made a lot of friends. :)

PS:Warrior are one of the best classes in the game ;)

Here's a tip, just make a character and play! There are usually quite a few people in the Blood Elf starting area that you could group with to quest and learn about the game. Who knows, you might just make a couple of great online buds!

Well WoW is basically an online community set in a fantasy world. Their are 2 points of the game. 1: play the game by yourself while leveling up, doing jobs, and completing tasks. 2: playing with teammates or friends like in a clan. While doing the same things as one player worlds. And if your on certain servers you can fight real people that are playing the game.
I hope this helped.

I actually agree with the last guy. My husband has been addicted to WOW for over 2 years. He plays it the moment he walks in the door from work until he is forced to go to bed at night. All I can say is at least he isn't out drinking at some bar.
I've heard of many cases of people who are addicted to WOW. It is such a shame too, wasting your life away on a game that in the end has no rewards.
Ahhh well..what can you do?

RPGs aren't mostly about war, RPGs are mostly about the story and the graphics not the gameplay (like the newly released "ar tonilco") others r simply perfect in all three aspects (like the "Final Fantasy" and the "tales of ..." series).
both are bit hard to understand but once u get it you're gonna be hooked on'em ;p

i would recommend (FF8 on the ps1 or FFX on ps2) or (tales of the abyss for the ps2)
Have Fun =D

Please don't start playing this game! It will suck up your time like a life vacuum! Games are great for a short blast of fun, but MMORPGs have stolen many of my friends and nehibours! I'm serious!! Stop before it's too late, and may the gods save your fiancee.
