I also can't go to Planned Parenthood due to previous circumstances. Do all local health departments give out birth control?

Most counties have clinics for low-income and uninsured residents. Depending on your circumstance, they can give you birth control at a lower cost or even free.

I ran a google search with the terms "low income health clinics birth control" and it came up with sites from counties offering support for those in need of contraceptives or family planning. If you enter the county information into the search terms above you can find a web URL with the information you'll need.

If you're in college, the student health clinic is the way to go in terms of getting birth control. Schools subsidize the cost of a lot of birth control and students get it at a major discount.

Most cities & municipalities have free clinics that you can go to & they are run by the local health dept. Look in the Yellow pages Or on-line for one near you. There are also some churches that are now involved in offering birth control & counseling. Good Luck!

Most all health departments do give out birth control, and the price is based on a scale depending on how much you make. You may even get it free. Call and get an appointment with them.If your county does not do it, call area counties.

Call your local health dept to find out if they offer a free clinic as one of the other posters suggested. If not you can check with a Medical School if your town is close to one because they often deal with those who don't have health insurance.
