The top four teams are West Indies, South Africa, Australia and Sri Lanka. I know that all four of these teams will do well and one of them will win this world cup. Australia isn't doing so good right now, West Indies are playing on home ground so they stand a good chance. Sri Lanka is in my opinion the best team in Asia. South Africa is MY team and they are currently the best team in the world. But I know that New Zea land is the hardest team to beat for S.A. As for everyone who is so confident that India will win the world cup, CATCH A WAKE UP!

ICC cricket world cup 2007...Biggest event as its name shows lets take a view of the competing teams.Only 8 of them are Discussable.So y not start with ASIA and in asia lets start with INDIA...Good balance side with a mixture of youth and experience...Some of the Very big names of modern cricket.Sachin,Rahul,Ganguly,Sehwag(yet to prove)Kumble all are fit and must show their ability coz these name probabaly playing their last world cup so they have to deliver whatever they got from game,Young and exciting dhoni is there.Bowling dept is the main problem for them offcourse herbhajan & Kumble r there but all seemers are underpower like Pathan,Patel,Srisanth coz u cant rely much on them INDIA will depend mostly on there batting and they have to score almost 300 runs in every match to give their bowlers a chance.Srilanka have jay suriya,sangakara,jaywerdhanay,Vaas and the great Murlitharan I think its a Semi Final team coz their fielding ability is also a plus point of them.Pakistan Ahh they a side of wounded tigers.Big names are also there like Inzi,Yusuf,Yunus,Afridi,Shoaib,Asif but to me fielding is there let down part and with so many unfit players they will suffer in this world cup specially bowling dept. is very weak coz they have so many injuries.Windies the hosts they will definitely surprise by going to semi finals coz of home soil and very enthusiastic home crowd support.England though they have just won the tri series in Australia by beating super power Australia in finals but they also have injury problem and to me they will not get to the semi's.Newzealand I think there is some politics going on in the team Astle took retirement just before world cup so something is definitely wrong even though they dont have big names but with good bowlers like Bond Vetori,Oram,Styrus and franklin and Lou Vincent also shows he is in good form they are a semi final team to me.Australia the super power everybody saying they will win coz they have no match.But recent results of tri series shows they can be beaten so dont bet on them.Now last to talk is South Africa they got very close to world cup 2 times in 92 rain cost them the chance to win.In england 99 they again gave a close fight.They are alwys a good one day side with opner like Smith,All Rounder like kallis,Wicket keeping batsman like Boucher and bowler like Pollock and Ntini...So the Sumary for u is that four Semi Finalists will be Australia,S.Africa,Srilanka,Windies lets see my speculations works or not.Best of luck to all team and fans.Have a great world cup...
