I was a teen mom and i finished high school. Before i was pregnant and saw alot of ppl getting pregnant and i thought it was messed up that they dropped out. I had more motivation to finish high school when i found out i was pregnant. Teen mom's most of them are awesome. You get out and do alot of fun things with your kid too. Ppl who say "oh you can't have fun you have a ball and chain now" it's not even close to like that. I love it. The only problem i ever had with teen mom's is why give up on school just because you got pregnant?

when i see young teens like me with kids i dont see the problem they know what they did and i dont see it as consequences as everyone else calls it when you have a child at a young age becaue its gift from god and your own creations and i as i am only 16 yrs old and 4months pregnant am glad that my family supports me and is there for me because having no one by yours side and telling you that what you did wasnt right hurts and i think that if there were more parents that show their kids respect of what they have done there wouldnt be so much drama and depression in teens and young parents...im thankful for this baby and its gonna be my first priority in life and i know will succeed in life no matter how ppl see me as and thats how otha young teen mothers should see it as ...dont let no one put you down because that baby need you not the ones who judge you and dont hurt your self...

i think its difficult to judge, obviously some people are going to look down on pregnant teens, but i dont think this is right, mistake or no mistake the mum is still going to love that baby n do the best they can for them. there is no right or wrong time to have a baby its what ever is right for that person at the time.

"what a shame" that is my first thought. My second thought is they have no idea of the fun they are going to miss out on! I'm not saying there is anything wrong with being a young mom but at least wait till you've graduated high school and can support a kid on your own.

I think of the first highschool my daughter attended in Central New York. The Principal actually BOASTED that the pregnancy rate among senior girls had in the year 2000 had dropped to 40%. however that didn't include the senior girls who already had children...I'm glad I got her OUT of that highschool...it makes me sad to think that the parents of those girls didn't take the time to instill a sense of values as well as self esteem and self respect in their daughters. It makes me unhappy to think that young women have such disrespect for themselves...

What do i think about teenage pregnancy? I think it is a shame on the parent's part and of course on the teenager for not having enough sense to get on birth control and to use condoms.

They are ashamed when they see kids like that. I am a sophomore and I almost feel embarrassed for them. It sicks my stomach sometimes.. but there are always gonna be those select few that do the wrong things.

i guess it all depends on tehir attitudes and their lifestyle, alot of people look at them as too young for kids. but you say classmates and at school teens. they are obviously trying to get on with their life as well which is a really good thing. they may have made mistakes having children so young but at least they are trying to get past it.

I think.. no excuse for getting pregnant in today's world with all the free prophylactics in schools and almost everywhere. All you have to do is look or ask for them.
