I went on http://www.missvirtualyakutia.com/, the official web site for a russian beauty Pageant and looked at some photos of the candidates, supringly, they do not look totally caucasian, but rather look like asians or mixbreed. why is that?

The website you refer to is about beauty pageant in Yakutiya. Yakutiya is an autonomic area in the Russian Federation but it's not Russia per se. (In some ways it could compare it to an Indian reservation in the US). And the Yakuts are not Russians. It's a different race and they even have their own language. They are Asians. Therefore they look like Asians. As for example native Indians in US might look different compare to white or black people, and nobody seems to be surprised about that.

Ethnic Russians are caucasians, but "Peter the Great" expanded Russia eastward into what is technically Asia. In eastern Russia many Russians bred with the conquered native peoples of that area and so they can have a mixed appearance. If you want an example of an ethnic Russian just look at Anna Kournikova or Vladamir Putin. They are white.

Okay, so you saw "a" girl that looked Japanese. Why is your question, "why do MOST Russians look Asian"... Also, how do you not know she is Asian but she is just able to speak Russian?

I disagree completely, I dont think that russians look like asians at all. I think you should research som more, you will find that russians are very caucasian.

Dear Princess, Russians who live near siberia, which is in close proximity to asia, are mixed wioth asian. Roseanne Barr is a Siberian Jew. Hence the asian slant and eskimo features.

As long they all look alike its ok, as long they are not terroists.
Mixbreed dont use on human beings, its more to animals. Now i dont really know which offical site u were on.

many are totally white but once you get across siberia they are like eskimos on the coast where the ice bridge once went to alaska. They are close to china geographically and politically too.

Russians are Asians. They belong to the continent.Russia is composed of several ethnic groups because it is such a large country. There are Caucasian Russians, Mongoloid Russians, Chinese-looking Russians. The former Soviet Union is such a diverse country.
