Have you ever seen the movie "Music From Another Room"? One of the characters names is Jesus. It's kind of comical. But he kind of ends up saving the blind chick in a way. Symbolism perhaps? I'm not sure what level I'm thinking on right now. I gotta get some sleep.
Update: "Jesus" was ranked 73rd most popular name in 2005 for boys according to this website http://babynamewizard.com/namevoyager/lnv0105.html

I guess you don't know many Mexicans huh? Besides the true Hebrew pronuciation is not Jesus but more of a Haushau...The Jesus spelling and pronunciation is only the english translation...Christ was Hebrew.

There are alot of people name Jesus, though they say it differently, the say it "Hay-Soos" and it's very common in hispanic countries. I haven't met anyone named Jesus who says it the same way as in the bible though...

Well I thought you weren;t allowed to call your child Jesus, though that may just be Jesus Christ. I'm not entirely sure but in Australia it is very uncommon.
