Depends upon your definition of galaxy.
The Milky Way Galaxy is a little galaxy compared to most. Our solar sytem from another planet would be just another star in the sky, since the sun is just a star.
Our relationship with the rest of the universe is part of our wanting to belong. We want to belong to something grander than this earth. Do we? Yes, your feeling of belonging is not out of spite.

And it's called the 'Milky Way' because, when you look at in the night sky' it appears as a thin 'band' of brighter stars that crosses from one horizon to the other. The ancient Greeks gave it the name and it was believed by many cultures to be the 'path' that souls took on their way to 'heaven'.
