1. spitting anywhere/every where

2. pissing!(defaecating too)/anywhere & everywhere

3. littering/anywhere & everywhere (other than our home!)

the above three are constantly seen still in our society.

can we stop this? can we educate people about the same and stop them from spitting/pissing/littering anywhere and every where?

just educating will do? or do we make it leagal? if yes...there are already laws about the same but not many are following thm.

so what is to be done? suggestions?

where there are no facilities of rest rooms; provision and clearing of trash you would find people doing all these acts as you cannot hold back urination beyond certain time and if you don't find a rest room then what...?

civic authorities should come forward to provide these facilities.

spitting of course is a peculiar habit with people of this subcontinent where they chew paan, chewing tobacco or khainee. for this proper remedy will have to be found out.

By imposing heavy fines, at least Rs 1000 per each offence of spitting. For the other offences, generally committed under extreme presuures and not as a matter of a habit like for spitting, let our 550 MPs debate alternatives in the Parliament and come out with a national policy and plan

Two things can be done.

One is to start prosecuting them. So that whenever they think of doing such silly things, they will think twice.

Second is to follow Gandhigiri.

Whenever you see a person spitting/littering around. Just go to the sppot and start cleaning.

Whenever you see a person pissing/defaeceteing around, just go stand near him and keep staring at him.

I assume you would say taht the first option is the better option.

majority of the indian population belong to rural India and most of them are more near to the nature than the hypocracatic life style. however, in the civic society, when we have to maintain decency and respect each other privacy and public hygiene we have to maintain certain civic duties. to maintain this
let the peole be given awareness of the hygiene habits and their ipmportance in health
simultaneously progressive punishment may be given like if any body caught for the first time doing such things, they may be given a warning.
for the second time some monetary punishment may be given.
third time penalty amount may be increased
fourth time judicial custody ...like this the punishment level may be increased
the problem of counting the offence may be dealth with a centralised database eachtime the individual is caught, his nature of offence, no.of times he repeated the crime etc., may be recorded.
To identify the person, like in U.S. each citizen may be given unique social security number.
