West Bromwich Albion were relegated from the Old First Division in 1985-1986 season as they finished 22nd @ bottom in the league with 24 points. Birmingham City is the other Midlands club along with Ipswich Town were also relegated that season.

They were relegated in 1985-86 IT was called back then ENGLISH LEAGUE 1 NOW ITS CALLED THE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE
