There are many reasons why women get thrush. Men can too by the way. It is easier for women because the anus is closer to the vagina then the penis is. Also the vagina has a very delicate bacterial balance and can easily get upset. Washing inside will irritate and may help develop thrush as the bacteria that protects the vagina is destroyed. The woman only needs to be tired or on a poor diet and she will have a tendency to develop thrush more often. I assume you mean thrush. It can happen spontaneously just by using perfumed soap, as a result of taking antibiotics, because the person has an overgrowth of Candida Albicans in their gut, just because they are run down and wearing nylon panty hose or knickers.
