Why can't you tell him--you married the guy --you should be able to communicate with him. Tell him nicely that you worry about his health and think he should go for a check-up and a diet change--you think he would be so much sexier if he did. Say it with sincereity but concern and word it so it inspires him. Just be nice---how would you like a guy saying you were fat??? Don't you two talk about anything??? Communication skills are the most important part of a marriage. Good luck

You love him? Right. Then show by action. No discussions, just do the following:
1. cook nutritive foods. Cut back on portions. Slowly though, don't make a drastic change.
2. Take him for exercise. Do it with him. You are doing good for yourself too in the bargain.
3. Tell him you are concerned for his health.
4. Don't buy anything that is fattening. No potatoe chips, no cookies, no junk. No sausages no huge steak cuts either.
5. Portion control means, the meat you serve cannot be larger than half his palm size. You should get to that level over a period of time. Other items on the plate should be matching the size of the meat you serve.
Tell him, if he cannot accept what you do, sooner or later (sooner than later actually), his body will force him to do it. His doctor will put him strict diet. It is too late by then and it is ugly.

You and your husband need to go to Gold's Gym on one of those week long freebies...And sign up for the 12 meetings with the personal trainer for both of you...behind his back. go with him every day and tell him it is so important for you to have a good partner and supporter as him. Soon he will be as strong as an ox, And will be able to find a woman that can love him for who he is, not what he looks like, and will leave you for an 18 year old slut.
But I assume that you are also getting fat, because that's what couples do. And I also assume that golds gym will be a major undertaking for you as well.
I hope you are not lazy...And are capable of pleasing the monster that will be created.

I'm sure he ownes a mirror am sure he already knows this, all you have to do is make him healthy meals, take him for long romantic walks at least 20 min. a day 3 days a week, when market shopping put back all the unhealthy item throw in the healthy ones. IF this doesn't work cry like a baby and say you don't want to loose him and his bad eating habits could kill him.

I'm sure he already knows. This is generally a touchy subject (hence, why you don't want to bring it up to him). I would suggest starting a new exercise routine with him -- one evening after dinner suggest you'd like to start going for a walk in the evenings, it would give you two some personal time to unwind together and get caught up on your day -- of course, it would be speed walking, or work up to that. Or it could be bicycling, swimming, tennis -- anything you like to do -- but get into a routine of doing it regularly. And start leaving more fruits and nuts around to snack on instead of chips, and absolutely NO SODAS - flavored waters or water with a twist of lemon or lime are good. Just watch the pounds drop off -- and you'll never need to bring it up to him!

There is no easy way and remember, once those words come out of your mouth, there is no turning back. Think about this very carefully and ask yourself "do I really need to tell him"? Believe it or not, most fat people know they're fat. Good Luck

You ought to start eating really healthy and start training for a half marathon. Google Hal Higdon and go to his website for all sort of training programs. You will look great and he will inevitably look in the mirror. Be the example. A half marathon or at least a 10k is the proper distance; any less and your not training enough to drive the point home.

You can't change a husband, unless....he is wearing a diaper.
Try to introduce more nutritious meals to your menu. Be a good example, avoid snacks, etc.
Try to sneak in some extra physical exercise into both of your routines.
Good luck.
