Eat your food slowly and chew it well...it isn't as if you have to rush for a surgery. If you want to prevent biting your tongue, you first have to learn how to hold your tongue back to where the connection at the tongue and your mouth is.I also had one bite mark at the tip of my tongue last year(my mom reckons I want to eat my taste buds, lol) and I managed to make it disappear by slowly chewing my food and controlling the holding back.My brother got half his ulcers in his mouth by biting nearly everywhere at his inner cheeks and lips. One time my brother made me bite the left side of my tongue and he got whacked like bloody hell. I had to put some powder that looks green and it didn't hurt so much. By now I have learnt how to control my tongue.

Maybe you can start by slowing down when you are eating. Take your time for a while and learn to adjust your tongue when manipulating your food so that it's not in the way of your teeth BEFORE you chomp down. I'm sure that the old bite marks will heal quickly if left alone, ie, not being bitten.
