Hello everyone - are you listening - then I'll begin....

Please no more american answers - where they don't seem to know what a preposition is - I would like to here from someone who uses English English and not the american broken english variety please !

I would just like the answer to two simple questions please:-

1) How to turn the computer automatically - my hibernation component seems to work fine and it gets back to where I want to an awful lot faster than normal startup - I'm a grownup - I know to watch the road whilst crossing thankyou!!!

2) Can I get a free copy of XP from somewhere, expecially now they're going over to Vista - well hopefully as long as they've sorted out the ''hello computer'' side of things i.e. "the killer delete select all" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Y_Jp6PxsSQ - is there anywhere on the net they do charitable freebees of XP please ?

you can write Microsoft and ask for a copy of XP. My friend did and they sent one to him. He told them that he lost his in a big storm.

First, your kidding about the free copy thing right? Suits and sunglasses are all over this.

Next. Hibernate. Wow, this is the worst thing in the world for your computer. Do not do it. Just stop. Just turn off the monitor. There is no need to risk XP's hibernate mode. I have had many customers bring computers in that are stuck in hibernate mode. Or they have crashed and lost data because of hibernate mode.

I thought I should just add this little bit here.

On? Buy one of those timers and put it between the power outlet in the wall and your computer...
