I think the ram would make a lot of difference. It's the amount of memory you have on hand to process things at the same time. The more you have, the more processes (applications, programs, games, etc) you can have running & the quicker it will take to fulfill the commands.

You should only expand to what you can afford. I would say the more the better, but we can't have everything. I think that the 160 BG hard drive is pretty good.

Basically, the price seems to good to be true. For a 19" monitor & 3 GHz, Pentium 4, its pretty good. I don't know why the price is that low, maybe I'm missing something.

You should get a good warranty at least for the parts since if they are using used computer parts, you can replace them. I know of a "reputable" company that sells computers & advertises in all the papers, but I heard from an inside source of recycling of computer parts. My computer was from that company & the motherboard got fried at least on 2 separate occasions. Considering Walmart has a reputation of getting things at the lowest possible price & selling it for maximum profit, if you plan to buy from them, get a good warranty & ask a lot of questions about the warranty.

The PC looks fine for what your gonna be using it for, I would consider a ram upgrade only if you find your running lots of applications at once, other wise windows XP will run fine on that amount of ram.

lol out of stock.....

really though, if you plan to upgrade to vista, get at least 1024mb of ram. If you just want to stick with xp 512MB will do ya
