I have tried almost all contraceptives and they havent been good for me.
Condoms have gotten me preg twice.
Pills lowered my libido.
Implanon made me bleed constantly.
I have a lot of problems finding a suitable cotraceptive.
After doing some research over the net i have come across the patch but only trouble is i am in australia and havent been able to find any info to let me know its avail here.
Please can anyone give me anymore info on this contraceptive and if it is avail in aust and where i can get it from.
If not perhaps can i buy it online from overseas somewhere and would i be allowed to import it and how could i tell its a genuine supplier.
Sorry about all the questions, your help would be so greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much!!

hi! I actually saw your question by accident I was just browsing for something. Well, in my opinion that Ortho Evra Pstch is not really a good solution in your problem, in case its the most dangerous one!
My aunt is an OB and I've asked her before about the patch and she said that it is a 100% NO GOOD especially for US women. That is why you need prescription for this patch is because the risk of BLOOD CLOT is at high and your also risking your life.
My aunt has a 3 patient who tried it and two of them had a blood clot
and the all 3 sue the makers and filed a law suit.
My aunt said that the patch will make you produce more estrogen in the body and its actually 80% more than your body is producing when u take birth control pills and that is why u are at risk of blood clot ( or maybe die )
But if you are really interested my aunt can help you find a site that will let u purchased that patch and they will also ask you and you have to print a copy of the form from them and you have to fill it out for them to use as a prescription, telling them with your signature that u know the risk and warnings and effects.
Just reply here and maybe I can help u and give u the email add but one thing " THINK A ZILLION TIME " before u do it
Good luck to you n take care

Contraceptive Patch

I use the patch, and I haven't had any problems with it. Like you, I had lots of problems using other kinds of birth control. But the patch is good, once you find a good spot for it that won't rub off from your clothes or fold up. I change it once a week, and I always know when my period is coming.

I do not know if it is available in Australia. I'm guessing the only way to find out would be to ask your doctor. The patch is only available by prescription, so your ob/gyn would have to prescribe it for you anyway.

Good luck!

Millions of women have embraced the ORTHO EVRA birth control patch with great enthusiasm because it fits into their active lifestyles. In fact,
95% of women are satisfied with ORTHO EVRA as a discreet form of birth control.* Women find ORTHO EVRA convenient and easy to use. In a clinical study, women who used the Patch were more likely to use it consistently and properly than women who took birth control pills. Common side effects may occur when you start using ORTHO EVRA, but they tend to decrease over time and may gradually disappear. In clinical trials, the most common side effects women experienced were breast symptoms, a reaction of the site of application, headache, nausea, upper respiratory infection, and menstrual cramps.
The most frequent adverse events leading to discontinuation in 1.0% to 2.4% of women included nausea and/or vomiting, application site reaction, breast symptoms,* headache, and emotional changes.
