I liked most of the Hannibal movies except for Hannibal (2001)somehow Julianne Moore just didn't cut it as Clarice for me . I think Silence of the Lambs was the best and don't think they followed it well in their sequals ! I also liked the film Manhunter ( the first of the movies based on Hannibal Lecter. Although he wasn't the main character ) .
I didn't have any intention of going to the pictures to watch Hannibal Rising but may of when it came to dvd but think i'll take a pass now if it was really that bad .,.

Haven't seen it. But I do think the whole Hannibal thing has worn a bit thing, now.

Manhunter was superb; Silence of the Lambs was superb; Hannibal was OK; Red Dragon was unnecessary ... now they're just adding flesh to something that was better with a bit of mystery.

I haven't seen it, but I find prequels in general are pretty lame. I'm not going to bother seeing it.

I read the book, and that was enough to convince me not to see the movie. Did it really reek?
