Make sure the product you are using/are going to use is an anti-perspirant (and possibly deodorant) This is what helps with the sweating.
Personally, I use Certain Dri, which is an anti-perspirant only, and is applied at night. (I've found that I only need to use it 1-2 times per week). Then before getting dressed, I use Secret Platinum clear gel. Even in very hot weather, I have no problem with underarm wetness, at all. I love Certain Dri.
-edit-
There was a person below me referring to hyperhidrosis. I also have been dealing with this condition for awhile now. If you do have a problem with excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) Certain Dri will help. It's much cheaper (only $5.99 at Rite Aid) than Maxim (which I've looked into before) and it is much easier to get. Also, my current bottle of Certain Dri has lasted me since May of 2006.
Whatever you decide though, best of luck to you :) I know what it is like trying to cope with this condition. I hope you can find something that will help you.

Deodorant does not prevent sweating at all; it just controls the odor. Only antiperspirants control sweating. The best I've found is Mitchum (I prefer nonscented; that's up to you). I've noticed, though, that after a while your body "gets used to" whatever brand you use and it stops working so well, so you need to switch it up once in a while.

Hey, I know exactly what you're talking about! it's called hyperhidrosis and i have it too! There's no cure for it, but there is a treatment, and it's called Maxim. You can get it at www.coradhealthcare.com it might seem really expensive at first but think about it this way- it's only $20 to get all your self-confidence back! The website says that a bottle lasts 2-3 months but my first bottle lasted about 9 months. i have been sweat puddle free for about 1 1/2 years!
good-luck, hope i helped!

all the suggestion given so some distance approximately changing is spot on. as quickly as I labored in a shop I cycled in ten miles daily and altered as quickly as I have been given there, without issues. the sole concern i might propose is whilst you're biking any distance get ideal biking (or a minimum of working) clothing. you will get sweaty and there is no longer something worse than putting on a chilly moist cotton t-shirt to holiday domicile in. ideal biking clothing wick the moisture faraway from the exterior and dry plenty swifter - and not all of them seem as though neon advertising hoardings. in case you are able to handle to pay for, a primary merino wool biking jersey is meant to be much greater ideal at wicking moisture and odour administration - yet those smash the bank.

You want one that is an ANTIPERSPIRANT, not a deodorant. Antiperspirants clog, or close pores, while deodorants mask the odor.
