I live in southeastern US , called the "bible belt" and was just curious if many Australians are like this or not?
did they have many protestant refugees like America had?

Some people go to church. We don't really have a bible belt as such. There are many various religions in Australia and Sunday worship is prevalent. I think though we (Australians) are more laid back about it.
