It varies greatly from city to city...but make sure you get an AVID brand chip! The Home Again microchip company was recently bought out and the new ownership is demanding that all microchips are registered ANNUALLY, meaning you have to pay EVERY year for it to be good. If you already have a Home Again chip, you can register it with AKC and avoid this fee, unfortunately I don't remember all the info on how to do this, but Home Again has really pissed a lot of vets off with this ownership change.

The humane association was charging 19.00 on a adopted pet with the chip for the chip implant . I have talked to vets that can charge up to 100.00 to implant a chip . I would say that 25.00 -50.00 . is the average price though. It is a simple magnetic chip that is used mostly if a pet is found . It isn't something that you can use a satelite system to track down and find your pet. Only a simple id # chip that reacts with a specail scanner . It gives a number reading and when looked up into a data base will give your contact information to reunite you with your pet.

This will depend on where you live - In Victoria, Australia you can get microchipping for $10-20. Check out your council website, or call up your vet to find out prices. Here, it is compulsory to have all cats and dogs microchipped, and its well worth the cost! I used to work at RSPCA and we received so many stray cats - remember a collar can come off, tags can be lost, but a microchip is forever!

maximum PetCo and PetSmart shops do no longer sell "fancy" mice, only the feeders, nevertheless they many times are available in albino, black, gray, and brindle. i'm getting my "fancy" mice from a regionally-owned shop that's certainly a fish and reptile shop. you are able to not get orange, calico, chocolate or multi-colored mice from PetCo or PetSmart shops around my way.

that sounds wrong, if your pet wants to run away from you, maybe you should let them...
