1)He's farther along than Jermaine O'Neal was at the same point.
2)True post ups are rare and you don't give them up cheap.
3)When, in the Lakers storied history, have they ever been a championship team without a hall of fame center down low? I'm not saying Bynum is going to be another Mikan/Jabaar/Wilt/Shaq, but he is clearly our best shot.

Trading Bynum would be a bad move for the Lakers. There is only a couple of good centers in the league. His skills a progressing and don't forget he would only be a sophomore in college this year. He probably needs to put on some more muscle, but this guy has skill. He has great touch around the basket and a little range. Most of the centers cant keep up with his speed. He gives Duncan a lot of trouble with his length when defending him. He will be a great shot blocker also. He already gets 4 in a game once in a while. His biggest trouble for now is staying on the court. He cant seem to stay out of foul trouble. Bynum will be a 20 point 12 rebound 3 block per game guy for a long time. They need to get a huge amount in return if the Lakers are going to get rid of Him.

No way, although Bynum is still quite young with raw talent, he has already emerged as the leading shotblocker for the Lakers with obviously growing offensive skills. The Lakers are better off trading off Chris Mihm and Kwane Brown, both who have been quite disappointing since coming to the Lakers.

i hate the lakers but i have to admit ive been impressed with him lately hes shown a lot of improvement. i dont think theyd trade him unless they'd get a really good deal out of it. they should trade mihm or brown. bynum will be an allstar in a few more seasons.

hes the youngest player in the league...he is just learning how to play the game...he should be a integral part of the Lakers rebuilding process once he learns better defensive positon (note all the fouls and foulouts) it would appear he has much better upside than Kwame, who somehow always ends up looking lost on the switch and guarding a guard(sheeshhh) on the perimeter...then with his head on a swivel on the switch/roll to the basket...besides its very rare to find mobile guy his size...

They should trade kobe, for gilbert arenas. Bynum is 19 or 20 give him time he will hold his own. I remember when the portland trailblazers traded Jermaine oneal and look at him now.

How can you judge Bynum? He is the youngest player in the league. He has huge potential.
