38 overs 5 balls
+ 8 overs 5 balls
= 46 overs 10 balls

10 balls = 1 over 4 balls

46 overs
+ 1 over 4 balls
= 47 overs 4 balls

the result will be 47.4 overs.

it would be 47.4 because in cricket there are 6 ball overs and that is why it wouldnt be like normal addition

cricket has 6 ball an over unless the team is out
So you would finish the last over before the break
47.5 or if you add extra over to a one day match 97.5
