I love all of the Evil Dead movies, and the games are cool too. I would have to say that I enjoyed Army of Darkness the most just because I could hardly stop laughing through the whole thing. There will always be purists that prefer the first one, but the Army of Darkness had several things I thought were great:
Mini Ash's - hilarious and a new element to a classic series
Walking skeletons - their comments and reactions had me rolling.
Evil Ash - his interaction with Ash was priceless
and finally...
Possessed Chick - nothing is hotter than an sexy broad with an evil side, even if she did try to kill Ash. LOL
But, that's just my opinion.

No, it is not. Evil Dead I is still the best. Evil Dead II is just a remake, and Army of Darkness may considered as a spin-off. Evil Dead gave recognition to future Spider-Man director Sam Raimi.

Every 'EVIL DEAD' film was set in a different genre...
EVIL DEAD - horror
EVIL DEAD 2: DEAD BY DAWN - horror-comedy
ARMY OF DARKNESS - action-comedy
Picking which is best is all subject to what sort of movie you like. I personally LOVE 'Army of Darkness'! Never before has one movie given us so many catch-phrases.

i admire military Of Darkness, you are able to no longer beat the only-liners in there! you are able to snicker and be worried on the comparable time. i'd advise the 1st daybreak Of The lifeless (the unique) besides. additionally Nightmare earlier Christmas (you cant have Halloween without Jack Skellington!) or Beetlejuice. Sean Of The lifeless additionally works for me. Sleepy hollow grow to be additionally humorous and frightening at aspects.
