marriage it to commit to one person to have their back to be their partner their helper, support each other through thick and thin. marriage is not always easy and it takes a long time to really know that you can totally trust each other, but it is such a great feeling when you know you have that person and you both agree that no matter what you will stay together and do the best to make the other person and yourself to become the best that you can be.

Plz, living your whole life with a person isn't something to term "just" It require hard work and its something very serious, meant only for serious individuals. I'll tell you yes marriage is spending/sharing your life with your partner as long as you both live and much more......

First, you must understand what marriage is all about. Marriage is a divine institution from God, its God idea for a man and a woman to leave their father and mother and cleave to each other. The bible says...............For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Genesis 2:24

It is a union of a man and woman with vows made to each other promised before God, family and friends to have and to hold forsaking all others through good times and bad, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health to love and honor and respect each other till death do we part .... It is NOT till we get bored and can't take it any more. Our vows should mean something. But so often when pple pledge for better or for worse, they turn to back out when worse times emerges. That's breaking the promise you made to each other and that's not being responsible.

Marriage is to COMPLETE each other and not to compete with each other. Don't get into marriage thinking only of what you can get/gain out of it. Be ready to give, give and give expecting nothing in return. give to complete the other person and not to compete with him/her. The love you give will definitely come back to you in full measure. The bible says again in another place...........The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." Genesis 2:18

From God's point of view, marriage is meant to be a solution and not a problem. If God said, its not good for a man to be alone, then it means its good for a man to be married and be with his wife. Help his wife to understand his needs and the wife in return respond positively to those needs......being his helper. WIVES! you're a helper suitable for him not his competitor. HUSBANDS! you're to love your wife as Christ loved the church and gave up His life for her......From the bible, Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her. Ephesians 5:25

You can not talk about marriage and keep God out of it. He's the founder and knows better what guidelines are good for it. Those who have neglected God's principles for marriage have failed totally in their marriages.

Don't get into marriage if you don't understand what it is all about. Get a book and read on the subject. There are the six big "C's" in marriage: commitment, communication, compromise, confessing, completing and communality.

Just keep in mind. You can make it heaven on earth or hell on earth. The ball is in your hands
