I think the Royals are going to stay with John Buck. He may not be a great hitter, but he does play good defense and has a great arm. Buck is still young and can turn the bat around. Jason LaRue is getting old and he hits almost as bad a Buck. There is no potential for LaRue to improve, but Buck still has a chance. The Royals will stay with Buck, and he will find his bat.

I would bet on Jason LaRue. He has some pop in his bat, always hustles, and throws pretty well. If he was not the favorite to start over Buck I am not sure why the Royals would pick him up.

Oh yeah, it's the Royals. Who knows?
