eBay is the best place. Just make sure you buy cards graded by PSA or SGC. Also, make sure the seller has over 200 feedbacks, & atleast a 99% rating. Also, the Net54 B/S/T is a great place. Many honest sellers there, but dont ask for Robin Ventura cards. Only pre-WW2 cards are cared about.

ebay is a good place to look. if you know the players you want you can type up the card type(topps, donruss, etc..) and the year and it will give you a list of all the cards in that set and the prices.

I don't know your location, but in Tucson, AZ the best store is "Showtime" Sports Memrobilia Store, loaded with ancient cards in all major sports.
