I don't think it will hurt them too badly. It's better that he retire than go out there and pitch poorly because he is hurt or spend half the season on the DL.

I think maybe his retirement will help them. He hasn't beent he same pitcher he was in 2004, so I think he saved them a lot of blown games.

not as bad as if he stayed. then he would have pitched with pain and most likely very bad and cost the tribe some money to boot.

Not bad at all.He wasn't even their closer for sure yet.It could still have been someone else.
