if i were to buy a cd-rom drive for my old HP computer, would it have to be HP and how much would it cost?

The one that's in there now is burnt out and doesnt' work.

it already has a dvd drive. i would like it to be able to burn cd's also

Doesn't have to be HP, it varies on what you want, a CD drive only, CD drive with CD burner, or also DVD burner. The prices can range from $60 to $350 some even go as far as $500. It all depends on what you want. Also make sure you have the system requirements for what you will end up buying.

Well it would be nice to get a HP CD-ROM for your HP. You could go to HP I think there around $40 to $110. Or you could use your search tab type in CD-ROM drives and check out other makes. You might find a good deal going with brand X.

it will not matter if its hp or not, anyone should work
