I find that I just love showing off my pregnant belly! When I chose sweaters or knit tops that really hug my bump, I feel so much more confident and sexy than when I wear "traditional" lose maternity clothes. Plus I like the added support it gives me in the belly area. What do you prefer, and why?

I agree with you. I feel fat in loose clothes and I feel prettier in form fitting clothes. I also get tons of compliments when I wear the form fitting belly clothes on how cute my belly is. Although in the comforts of my own home you will often find my in some sweats. :) I think you should be proud of your pregnant figure, because even though it doesn't always feel like it, it is a beautiful thing. My question though, is why do most maternity shirts show off your boobs? I understand that pregnant women get some great clevage, but seriously it doesn't always need to be so in your face :)

I am 5 months pregnant with my 3rd child. And everytime I try to wear something that fits comfortable, I bend down and that feeling goes away! It drives me insane. So now I just wear a pair of sweat pants or something along them lines, and a comfy shirt. I have come to find that when I wear belly hugging clothing, everytime I go somewhere, people always come up and play with my belly. Which is OK, but when I was pregnant with my 2nd child, I went in labor at a store, it was a instant hard labor, and one of the ladies there came up and was playing with my belly and asking thousands of questions. So now I just wear loose clothes but you can still see I am expecting.

I actually like both, depending on what mood I'm in. If I'm going to be going out for the day or evening, I will usually wear something more tailored. Not that it's especially snug, but you can definately see my baby bump. However, when I'm just bumming it around the house, lots of times I just feel like wearing something more traditional, loose and baggy. I won't wear those shirts out in public, though, because I feel really sloppy. Probably because I'm just used to wearing them around the house.

yea i agree but maternity clothes souldnt be lose :S.... if your getting your normal size they should just fit snug around your tummy... thats the hole point in maternity so you dont feel frumpy and baggy.... but i prefer maternity because it shows off your bump and am comfortable!! plus they fit you all the way threw your pregnancy so i wasnt constanly buying bigger size clothes.. i have some great trendy clothes as am 19 and didnt wanna look like an old bag! top shop.. new look and h&m are sooooo great!!! i can still be myself and comfie :) xx

What ever is comfortable for me I didn't use maternity pants cuz they were ugly looking so through the whole time and still counting down to the last 4 days I have used stretchy pants just maternity shirts and i used a variety of shirts tight and lose.

For the most part I prefered snug fitting clothes as baggy ones just made me feel fat, however my babies were born March and April and I am in Queensland so when it got hot loose clothing was the only option!

I like snug fitting tops and looser around my tummy. Of course I like showing my little bump, but I don't like the feeling of snug things around my belly since I have been pregnant.

16 weeks pregnant
