Yes it does hurt. I'm 39 weeks also, and every movement my baby makes hurts so much. It's normal because the baby's big and if it's up side down, you probably feel some strong kicks to your ribs ( I know I do) which sucks, but it will be over soon.

Oh yes, especially when you're that far along. There's a lot of little elbows and knees trying to get comfortable in a very tight space. Just try not to go too long without a potty break. It's awful when the baby starts to use your bladder as a punching bag!

I am at 33 weeks and I am finding that those sweet little taps I use to get now feel like someone trying to punch and kick their way out of my stomach. So yes it is perfectly normal. Congrats though, it is definitely almost over for you. Good luck.

Yes, it's normal because the baby is running out of room, so everything is stretched and you feel the movement more.

I wouldn't really say it hurt, but it was definately uncomfortable. You might want to mention it to your doctor. Baby will probably be along any day now. Congratulations.

Sometimes it is uncomfortable and is close to hurting. especially when you are trying to sleep or you are in a car......you are way into the uncomfortable stage, and you wont get much better until you give birth.. but it is all worth it!
