My friend, *A*, is very conceited. She thinks everyone likes her & it's starting to get on my nerves. She liked my sister's friend, *E*, that's 2 grades higher than her. My sister told *E* that *A* had a crush on him & he started putting his arm around her & stuff...just so that she would freak out & start blushing. I thought she would do what she always does: Think the person like her, when they're just being silly. The next day, she's like: I think he likes me, cause he puts his arm around me & you only do that when you like someone. He might ask me out, too.
Oh & I've liked this one guy for a while & I recently found out he liked me, too, cause he told me. Then, she'll say stuff like: I think *G* likes me. (His name starts with a "G".) He talks to me for no reason sometimes & he flirts with me all the time.
If she knows I like him & she knows he doesn't like her, then why does she do this?
Also, she asked him out & he said no, so why does she think he likes her?

She thinks everyone likes her & even throws herself at guys. It really made me mad when she told me she thought *G* liked her, cause he told her he didn't. Would she be saying this just to make me jealous/mad? I don't understand why she's so conceited all the time. Even without it being about guys, she's full of herself.

Oh, wow! And you call this girl your friend? No offense, but she doesn't really appear like a friend to me. If I were you, I would somehow stop being her friend. Or, to not offend the person, maybe you should just tell her straight about the way she behaves. It may be difficult, or she may act like she doesn't care, but it's always best to say how you feel.

I'm going to call 'A' and 'G'...Greg and Amy because letters confuse me...I know, I hardly make sense at all since in each word there are letters....ANYWAYS. Amy is conceited, she's probably saying all this stuff to make herself feel higher than you. You know, make her feel like boys are after her not you. She 's in denial, she wants to feel good about herself. And I'm serious, what i'm saying might sound typical of what anyone would say but this truly is might be why she's doing this. Think like her, how does she think? She KNOWS he doesn't like her but she's trying to make reality into a fantasy, know what i mean? Maybe not. But trust me, she DOES KNOW he likes you not her. She probably doesn't want show it. I might be wrong. But don't get into her face about, it'll only create trouble.

She sounds like a mean girl, maybe you shouldn't be friends with her anymore. It sounds like if you talk to her she would just be ignorant.
