2,000 watts PMPO indicates a meaningless marketing ploy.

220 watts RMS indicates how many watts your amplifier puts out if it's 220 watts 8 ohms @ 20 Hz - 20 KHz per channel. Because 220 watts RMS 8 ohms @ 1 KHz per channel is also a meaningless marketing ploy.

Don't worry about watts anyway, it's not that important. The important rating on an amplifier is it's THD rating. (Total Harmonic Distortion)

An amplifier should have a THD of 0.05% THD @ 20 HZ - 20 KHz or lower. You should never buy an amplifier that has a THD rating of 0.1% THD @ 20 Hz - 20 KHz or higher.

2000 Watts PMPO means 2000 Watts Peak Music Performance Output. 220 RMS means 220 Root Mean Square which means the ratio of the Lowest to highest frequency which it can differentiate. The higher thr RMS value the better the sound quality.
