Well put simply ( relatively) the suns energy is light energy (Yes I know its more complex but I said put simply didn't I?) that light energy is adsorbed by the plants. The plants change the light energy to chemical energy by means of photosynthesis. they then burn this chemical energy to live and grow. Eventually they die, and eventually they get buried in mud. There still is that bit of chemical energy in them. So after a VERY long time they become so compact that it is very efficient fuel source. We gather the fossil fuels and then burn them, releasing the chemical energy and changing it to heat energy. We use this heat energy to change water into steam which has mechanical energy. We use the mechanical energy to spin turbines which changes the mechanical energy into electrical.
so in summery

Light-chemical-heat-mechanical and finally electrical

BTW i got a 100 on that test =)

through image voltaic the flowers (autotrophs) in the international carry out a technique stated as photosynthesis. this technique enables flowers to make nutrition for themselves and for the herbivores and the carnivores. it relatively is estimated that at a international point 10^17 g of organic and organic count number is made via flowers each and each year. each year quite decrease than that's decomposed lower back. even though somewhat element is skipped over each and each year. this organic and organic count number gets buried interior the sediments or soil and after being acted upon via temperature and tension for an prolonged (tens of millions of years) gets converted into fossil fuels such as coal, petrol, gas etc.

Fossil fuels are present underneath the location where swampy forests used to exist millions of years ago. When the forests die they decompose. However the sun's heat pressurizes the detritus to get deposited underneath the earth.
