I vote for the WCHA, but that is mostly because I am a Badger fan and we do have other strong teams, (even though I hate to admit) like Minnesota. I'm interested in hearing other opinions.

Your vote is Right. The WCHA is far ahead the best conference out there. Not only have they won the majority of the last FF (minny, wis, denver) they also have the most draft picks as well. Teams like Minnesota, Denver, CC, Wisconsin and North Dakota are always competitive and lately they have distanced themselves from the rest because they have been consistenly good the last 10 years. Years back you could argue for HE with BC, BU and maine as well as the CCHA with Michigan and Mich ST but now, its all the WCHA baby. Look at all the recent NHL players from WCHA - kessel, pavelski, carle, sterling, heatley, leopold, martin, zajac, parise, bochenski, pohl, stastny as well as others I have missed........the WCHA speaks for itself.

The CCHA, WCHA and Hockey East each have 3 teams in the top 10 national rankings with Notre Dame (CCHA) currently holding down the top spot.

If you extend the comparison to the top 15, the WCHA has 5 representatives while the other two conferences each have 4. So, judging by national recognition, the WCHA has the slight advantage over other conferences.

Let's see how things shake out by the Frozen Four...

No contest WCHA. I am certainly biased as I'm a MN (go Bemidji State) guy stuck living in Badger country.

I haven't done any research but I'm sure that more players from the WCHA get drafted into the NHL than from any other conference.

A UND fan here and former Sioux player.
The best conference is the WCHA and not by
just a little bit. The other conferences are good BUT
from top to bottom the WCHA is the best, in my mind.

NOT just looking at the players.. look at the number of total championships. Minnesota and Wisconsin combined have like twelve or thirteen, throw in North Dakota, St. Cloud State, Denver..The WCHA has dominated in almost every area.
OF course I have to mention MY Badgers won it all last year.. BOTH the Men and Women were the best.. it's fun to gloat!

WCHA is pretty good, but I would have to say the CCHA...even though my college is Michigan Tech.

Top to bottom it has to be Hockey East. The conference has a number of ranked teams and always sends several to the NCAAs.
