You may well need to see a physician. They will help to rule out the really dangerous stuff - fracture, spinal cord injury, etc. Once they have determined that what you are complaining of is not going to kill you, they will likely medicate you and send you home. Better than 9 times out of 10, that works just fine. However, if you get medical attention and you are still not back to normal in a week, it would be a good idea for you to see a physical therapist. The PT can help you make sure that your hip fully recovers and moves properly again. They can also help to relieve your pain. Oh, and the PT can (once you are feeling better) give you exercises to work on your coordination, so you are no longer challenged by a 3' jump! =o)~~~
Good luck!

I know that going in and getting it checked out isnt that appealing, but I saw a story about a guy who was hurt similarily, and didn't go in. A few weeks later he had terrible pain and couldn't walk. He finally went to the Emergency Room and found out he was paralyzed from a little above the waist and down. Turns out that he had also injured his back without knowing and there was bleeding around his spinal cord that caused enough pressure to cut off his spinal cords funcition. I dont know if you may have done something like this or not or if you just pulled some muscles. But its worth getting checked out.

Pain in the pelvis area can be many things. Even internal bleeding. Internal bleeding can be recognized by blood in the urine. Go see the doctor. It could be nothing.
Best of luck to you.

You may have a hairline fracture or just a contusion but either way you need to get this checked out and x-ray in case you did break something.

Take the obvious route and go see your Dr. You may have a cracked bone or something and need medical attention.

See a DOCTOR! Either you merely have a badly bruised hip or at worst a fracture.
Don't delay!
