HELP! Does the inspiron 510m have an integrated mic? :(?

I tested it on windows live messenger but it couldnt detect any sound at all. Or do i have to get an external microphone? :(

i think you need an external mic and a headset. the best is one that is a combo, but if you use it (it needs an adapter that you get at radioshak), you will not hear sound from your speakers.

the easiest way to know is to just call dell.

but here's for the one that wants to find out on their own:

click start. R click on my computer, click on properties. go to the hardware tab. go to device manager. then, i believe, it would show up on the sound devices. just click on the plus sign.
