overpopulation is very difficult to deal with, China saw the need for the one child policy, but they get a lot of negative press over it even though they must stabilise their numbers, India is out of control as are parts of africa. Each additional human being puts more stress on the planet, we all agree that one day there will be too many people on this planet, so why not plan and stabilise the numbers before we get too far.

The winters at the South Pole are below -50 degrees F. If "Global Warming" were to kick in, it would increase the temp at the South Pole in the winter to -48.5 degrees F. Is that warm enough to melt the South Pole???

I cannot see how one or a billion persons can affect geology. We're talking normal cycles of glaciation and interglacial warmings here.

Because noone really can think of any strategy that would work to combat that. I mean I guess you could sweep through and kill large numbers of people but how would you decide who to kill and who not to kill.
