How does a 13yr old learn to play tennis?

I want to join the tennis team at my school, but some of my family members don't really believe in me and that is making me forget everything i know anout the sport.

Here are some of the basic things you should remember when playing tennis.

1. Concentrate. Dont let yourself be distracted by anything anywhere.
2.Make solid contact with the ball. Watch it very closely so once you can do this you are ready to go to more advanced concepts.

3.Take a round full swing. Dont poke at the ball swing at it.

Just hang in there. It's not your families choice, but yours. At your age, your parents must allow some freedom, but not too much freedom. So just ignore them, and play the best of your tennis. If you forget how to play tennis, ask your friends who play tennis to play you, and give you some advice. These advices will only help if you put your head into the game. No distractions.

the best thing is to show them you can, prove to them you can really do tennis. If your family cant there is always your friends who got your back. I surprised my family by playing Tennis and Badminton.
