You should have sex whenever you guys are ready. Don't rush things and don't presure your girlfriend into it. Let it happen naturally. Remember you are 16 and she's 15 having sex can not only lead to pleasure for both of you, but if you are not carefully it can lead you into fatherhood. If you are not ready now to have sex what makes you think you are ready to be a father. You have to be good and ready, I won't advice you to have sex when you are married cause come on who are we kidding here. most of the teenagers today go out and have sex with different partners and look how many teen mothers are out there. a kid changes everything. I am 36 and I just had my first child 6 months ago and my whole life changed. more responsability and preassure. you are young live your life to it's fullest and just protect yourself and your girlfriend. when the time is right for both of you. you will know it.
play it safe. whatever your decision good luck to you.

Okay, The answers you have recieved-except the two above me- are really lame.
I believe that you really should wait a year just for your girlfriends sake of her age.
Don't hold your self down; I don't think you should wait until marriage even though it might seem like the right thing to do; if you are in a serious relationship, I don't see why not (serious as in dating for at least a year or so).
But really, you need to make good decisions about this-I don't think either one of you want to be a parent at your age-use both the pill and condoms; using just one isn't enough and it still isn't 100% effective.
Don't make decision you know you may regret later on,
Fallon

Is it a should??? I mean, is it really a big deal to you?? Would it mean something very important to you if you do so??? I think you have to figure out why you have asked the question and I am pretty sure you will get the best possible answer... yourself will!!!
Age, peer pressure, or whatever should not bother you.. Know your priorities.... Don't be in a hurry. There are so many things you need to do that would make life worth living... Sex can wait. When you say "I do" at the altar... Believe you can...

I think you are both too young. However when you are together and the urge hits you both, it might be the right time, but you need to consider the consequences of your actions. What if she gets pregnant? It can happen after 1 time. What would you do then? Do you think either of your parents would let you move in with them and raise your child and support all of you? If not, then do you expect her to have the baby alone and her parents take care of her and your child? Just think about the future and what you want out of your life before doing this.

Right now, don't miss out. I'm 17 too. Get her on the pills if she's not already, so you don't have to use a condom every time. It feels much better when you're not wearing one. Plus the pills regulate her period.
Good luck bud.

don't force it .. you will when you are ready, as will be the person with whom you are doing it.
there is a big difference between sex and 'making love'. the better you know someone the more relaxed you will be and the more you love someone the better it will be.
before or after marriage depends on your beliefs :D

dude... dont wait for marriage.
all that crap about saving urself.. bull..
people all have diffeent styles, techniques. its a part of life that one needs to explore, just like drinking alcohol or getting a job. however, it is much more natural and necessary than either of those functions.
sex is somethign that should not be shackled by the miscontrued and debase chains of organized religions. period.
