I used to feel like that. then a miracle happened. I discovered me, not the person others wanted me to be. suppressing my feelings was a talent that is dead today. I learned to Love Myself, nothing else matters. Now there is so much Love in my life I can cry tears of joy, sadness and hurt. Love doesn't come from Doctors, Psychiatrists can give you drugs, Love comes from the heart, so do tears.

i know exactly how you feel! i was so depressed for a month up to the point that i would just keep smoking marijuana and getting drunk and wasted to forget about my problems, but it didn't really help! i even called nine-line. i cried every single day and night and i couldn't even go out because my eyes were so puffy and i looked horrible! i wanted to stop crying because it would give me a really bad migraine after, but i couldn't help it. i know what you meant when you said that you feel numb now and your problems no longer makes you cry, that's because your getting used to LIFE! life is full of sh*t and all you could really do is FLUSH it.. haha get it? but anyway, don't hurt yourself or even think about committing suicide! THERE WILL ALWAYS BE OBSTACLES IN LIFE AND THINK OF IT AS A CHALLENGE TO YOU, NO MATTER HOW HARD OR PAINFUL IT IS. stay strong!! better things will happen, i promise! i just moved on from being depressed to a happy new woman! i thought i needed a therapist but shopping my life away honestly made me quite happy. GO OUT, EVEN IF YOU DON'T WANT TO! force yourself to smile!! being depressed affected everything i did and everyone around me. i stopped going to school for a while and i was mean to all my family members and friends but all they showed me were patience and understanding. some people won't give a f*ck about you, then there are other people who will be there for you even if you don't expect it, then i realized there are actually REAL people who cares and loved me. it's the best feeling. stop crying, look at yourself in the mirror and smile. tell yourself to be strong!! IT'S JUST A CHALLENGE! after that your life will become soooooo much better!

Yes - talk to your doctor, sweetheart. He/she will refer you to a specialist who will help you through this. A lot of people have to deal with these kind of emotional issues, but you can get help for it. No one can "fix" it, but talking to a professional will put you on the right track for "fixing" it yourself.
All the best.
