I watched Invincible a few months back, and I'm a die hard Eagles fan, and i did NOT notice them saying that. I'd have noticed had they made that mistake. I'd watch again, I think you probably misheard. That is too basic, and obvious, a mistake for them not to have picked up on. I really would have noticed that, and I didn't.
Trust me....I am painfully aware we haven't won a bowl :-(

I can't remember for sure but I thought it just said that they made it to the Super Bowl in 1980 (they lost to the Raiders in Super Bowl XV - played in 1981 at the end of the 80 season.)

Maybe it was an alternate universe. Maybe, just maybe, in their world all of the Super Bowls are played out backwards. With the losers winning and the winners losing.
Did it state that they Won the game or that they made it to the game? Don't remember myself. Anyway it made the story end better right?

Yes. They were beaten by the oakland raiders. The raiders were the first team to win as a wild card.
