A Flight takes off at 4 A.M from North-East direction and travels for 7 hours to reach the destination in the North-West direction. Some latitude and longitude of source and destination given. Find the local arrival time of destination? (I don’t know how to find it)

ok since there are no enough details to that question, i will rewoirte the question wtih the coordinates provided..

plane moves from 9˚N40˚E to 9˚N40˚W. If the plane starts at 10 am and takes 8 hours to reach the destination, find the local arrival time

The new question added is not that hard to answer. Take what the science teacher told you and apply it to that question.

For one, you start at 10AM... it's an 8 hour flight. You move one time zone ahead for every 15 degrees you move west. Since you stay at 9N, that doesn't matter. You go from 40E to the Prime Meridian (0) to 40W, which is a change of 80 degrees. So divide 80 degrees by 15 and you get 5.333. This means you GAINED 5 hours during the time you LOST 8 hours while flying. Therefore, 8-5 = 3... it would only take 3 hours to get there..

You would land in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean at 1:00PM (13:00) and subsequently be saved by the Brazilian Coast Guard.

A due north east direction would be 180 degrees. a due north west direction would be 0 or 360 degrees . Any time you go from east to west you gain time, due to time change. One key part is missing to answer this question, can ether be speed or miles traveled, or lines of latitude or longitude crossed. With one of these you can see what time zone you would be in and the time of destination. Anyone knowing anything about math will tell you it takes two parts to a question to do the math. I use to fly a plane and from the info given, I couldn't begin to give you an answer.

You need information:

1) The world is divided into time zones, each representing one hour of time.

2) There are 24 time zones because it takes 24 hours for the Earth to rotate on its axis (1 day). A ball has 360 degrees in it. If you divide the 360 degrees by 24 you get 15. Each time zone is equal to 15 degrees, which corresponds to the longitude lines.

3) The earth spins on its axis in a counterclockwise motion. This means that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west. (A person living east of you at least 15 degrees longitude distance would be one hour ahead of you in time. A person living west of you at least 15 degress, or one longitude line, would be one hour behind you in time.

I think this should help you to figure this out.

The question (the new portion) is totally moot.

I found 7º N latitude, 40º E longitude in Ethiopia (northeastern Africa), specifically a little east of its capital city, Addis Abeba.

I found 7º N latitude, 40º W longitude in the Atlantic Ocean, somewhat north of Brazil. There is no land in that area.

This is not a real route. One needs to have a real route with actual coordinates of both departure location and arrival location. Since, yours does not have a valid arrival location, this question cannot be answered as it currently stands.

Its a time zone question.
If you start heading north east, that actually means you begin in the east and are heading upwards...can conclude youre maybe in florida, where youll end up somewhere in Washington or Oregon.

Now traveling for 7 hours means you will past central time zone and end up in the pacific time zone.
subtrack 3 hours from the total flight after you add 7 hours to 4.00 A.M.subtracting 3 -- because thats the difference from pacific and eastern time zones.

You will arrive at 8.00 Am in the pacific time zone
