Big, small, white, bold, fibbing, withholding the truth...call it what you may--Why?

many reasons, to not hurt someone's feelings, to protect my own butt, to get attention, to get what i want. It's not saying too much for me - but those are some of the reasons i lie.

1. To keep the truth from the person I am lying to.
2. Because the answer is none of their business.
3. Because I may feel the truth will be used against me.
4. To keep another persons confidence.
5. Because I don't like the question or maybe the person asking it.
6. To keep a position of power in business or relationship.
7. Because the person I am lying to, in my opinion, does not want or is not ready to hear the truth.
8. Because I love the person and sometimes what a person doesn't know can not hurt them.
9. Because some things in life need to be lied about, or at least never mentioned.
10. Because in some situations the truth hurts too much.

to hide the truth. But the truth will out, so I get into trouble for the truth and into trouble for lieing. So my new policy is to keep my mouth shut

I try to be upfront and honest with everythin
But i would imagine Fear rules the emotions over tellin the truth every time.

because I don't want to tell the truth, i am lying without knowing it, i am afraid of what will happen if i tell the truth, or i have a good reason to lie

I dont. There is such thing as change in circumstance but I am alwayse honest Liars suck the life out of real people.

Usually I try not to, but it always seems that telling people what they wan't to hear is easier than telling them the truth.

sometimes telling the truth hurts so much you can't get it out so we get a every quick lie that is hanging on our tongue , n sometimes we just get what we want by lying :)
