I like shows that don't insult my intellegence and have some entertainment value, it that's what you mean! There are a few that I watch, but most current shows just don't have good enough writing that keeps me interested. Mostly, it's TVLand, Hallmark, or nothing.
And it's not just the shows, themselves. While I'm at it, I like a show with a predictable schedule. None of the we're taking a break every 4 weeks, so watch repeats or midseason (?) replacement shows, then come back for two hours of "what happened up till now" cuts from previous episodes before the "new" episodes (that you can catch again whatever day of the week, in case you miss today's episode) on a new day or time. And they started on the hour, after some commercials, unlike the back-to-back airing now?
Remember when you had 20 or so episodes, then you had repeats during the summer where you could catch episodes you missed, or watch the entire season of another show that conflicted with something else you liked?
And networks wonder why people don't watch and shows get low ratings!
I guess all this ranting means I agree!

I will admit that the shows of today can be pretty shocking. I also grew up watching the shows from the 70's and 80's. It is amazing how different the children are portrayed in today's shows. It is kinda sad. oddly, though, one of my ALL TIME favorite shows from "back in the day" was All IN THE FAMILY--not exactly wholesome family entertainment, but it is still one of my favorites to this day. I never get tired of the re-runs.

I love TV shows of today! The only old shows I like are I Love Lucy and The Beverly Hillbillies. Todays shows are also very entertaining... Like The King of Queens, According to Jim, or Everyone Loves Raymon. Such funny shows!

I feel the same way. Now a days it's all about selling selling selling, and what sells? Sex and stupidity. I love I LOVE LUCY, The Honeymooners, The Jeffersons, etc....those were such great shows. After all these years they are still considered to be classics.

I have to say I agree. So many of today's shows try to appeal to people's baser instincts. I have given up on basically most primetime comedies. The jokes are so old and overused. I would find myself predicting lines on many sitcoms with startling accuracy. I have found myself of late watching more sci-fi shows because I feel like they aren't completely insulting. It's really a strange thing because I am not a sci-fi person at all, but I want something not completely stupid.

in my opinion, none. babies are with ease age employer. they arrive from marvelous backgrounds and memories. A homeless teen might have an further appreciate than a prosperous teen. A homeschooled teen might have an further appreciate than an adolescent in a public classes. A pregnant teen might have an further appreciate than a teenage virgin. a young person from China might have an further appreciate than an adolescent from Pakistan. a young person from an Atheist family contributors might have an further appreciate than an adolescent from a Christian family contributors. i'm an adolescent and ninety% of the teenage videos I watch have not got any resemblance to my private existence. by using fact opposite to prevalent concept, no longer all youthful adults are the equivalent.

Eh, it depends on the show. For instance, one of my favorite shows is "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." which went off the air in 1968. I also love other older shows like the orignal "Doctor Who" and "The A-Team". But I also enjoy some of today's shows too, like "CSI" (just the original--the other two don't do it for me), "Law and Order: SVU" and ": CI" (vice versa--hate the original) because I like thr drama. I also watch "Monk", "Phsyc", "House", and the new "Doctor Who" on a regular basis. I guessit just depends on the mood I'm in...

My biggest beef is with advertisements. At least before a TV show comes on, you get a parental guidance warning. You don't get a warning before a commercial comes on that is going to be talking about "since I started taking such and such, my "s word" performance has become phenomenal".
