If you are a student... or if you can work with a teacher, you can get the student/teacher versions for a bit less than standard retail prices. The software is usually the same as full release, just a discounted price. Contact Adobe and see if they work these deals. Or... hit ebay/amazon/etc and work on snagging an earlier version... especially if you are relatively new to web/graphic design - Dreamweaver MX, for example, would be more than enough to occupy you... no need to obtain v8

The easiest way to get it is to go to
www.bittorrent.com
and download the bittorrent software, then just go to
isohunt.com
and search for macromedia studio 8 and download the torrent that has the whole suite. You will be saving over $1000 trust me, I have the whole suite for free
