which is better to store computer parts in, a cardboard box, or a plastic bin. I was told by my grandpa that a plastic bin will creat static electricity and fry the chips.

The best place is in the tower.

it is plausible that the cardboard will contain some nasty chemical compounds (see link). And in case you employ it basically once and then bury it, it is not any more beneficial advantageous than sending it to a landfill. you also want to shred it to furnish it any authentic cost as compost, and it isn't solid fertilizer so it isn't properly well worth the attempt first of all. If recycled, the fabrics would get reused 2-3 or more beneficial situations to make new cardboard or different products. Recycle it.

cardboard........plastic is bad for a few reasons......1 like u said static electricity...2 because plastic can cause condensation....we all know that water and electronics dont mix.......cardboard absorbs moisture......
